Apple refreshed it’s iPod touch lineup just a few days back but the main question still remains that is it relevant and if yes then who will actually use that ipod and for whom exactly is it.
The new iPod is available in 32GB for $199 (18,900 inr),128GB for $299 (28,900 inr) and 256GB for $399 (38,900 inr). It is available in space gray, white, gold, blue, pink and product red. Its already in stores in U.S.A and will be available in India next month. It is packed with the A10 fusion chip which was first seen in iPhone 7 and 7plus.
Now let’s answer the question for which we are here. Yes iPod is still relevant and a very good product but it is appealing to only a specific group of people. Parents who do not want their children to waste much time on their smartphones but still want them to have a gadget for their refreshment, iPod is a very good choice and iPod is much cheaper than iPhone and both of them have similar features except network and mobile connection. It also works as a great gift.
It’s also great for those fitness freaks who do want to listen to songs and carry a very small and portable device unlike huge phones which are out in the market and they will not be disturbed during their very intense workout by work calls.
According to me it’s not for everyone and Apple also didn’t try to make it for everyone. This iPod isn’t capable to cover for the losses of iPhoneXs. As soon as iPod is released in India then I will publish a full review of it and follow up more on this question later
